WaveGarden to build a Cove in South Korea
It will be the main attraction of the “largest surfing park” in that country and will be ready in 2020
The Basque artificial wave company WaveGarden announced today that it will build “the largest surfing park” in South Korea, on Turtle Island, an hour from Seoul.
It will have as its centerpiece a WaveGarden Cove, which is known to be capable of creating 1000 waves per hour.
The resort is expected to open in 2020, and the announcement follows the signing of a contract in November 2018 between WaveGarden and Daewon Plus Construction, one of the country's largest property developers.
There is no explanation as to why it took so long to announce it. Even the video, see below, has been hidden on Vimeo for two months.
