West Sumbawa lands on world tour
A men's and women's QS 1000 was confirmed today by the WSL

A few days ago the return of the QS to Nias was announced after 18 years and today the first tournament in history in West Sumbawa was confirmed, a men's and women's QS 1000 that will take place between September 8 and 12.
The waves in West Sumbawa (like all of Indo) are perfect and consistent and make a perfect setting for a QS tournament, which is in dire need of perfect waves.
WSL Asia Tour Manager Steve Robertson said his region is exploding lately with Uluwatu, Padang Padang and Keramas hosting top-level tournaments.
The WSL is also yet to confirm, it says in a statement, a third tournament for the following weeks, the Simeulue Pro. If confirmed, it would be a series of three dream 1000m events:
-Girls between August 24 and 28
-Simeulue Pro between August 31 and September 4
-West Sumbawa Pro from September 8-12.
More points are needed for these stages, but not waves.
