What happened to Jefson Silva?

The Brazilian didn't show up for the Bells match, didn't post anything about his absence on social media, and isn't answering messages. The WSL says they'll fine him for not giving notice.

Brazilian Jefson Silva, South American longboard champion and therefore a member of the world's elite in the discipline, did not appear for his series in Bells, gave no explanation on social media for his absence, and has not responded to messages on the subject.

Jefson was scaled in round 1 against Johnny the Ripper and Clinton Guest.

Then, due to his absence in the elimination round, he was replaced by Jack Tyro.

According to sources close to the event and the organizers, the Brazilian could face a $1000 fine for failing to show up at an event without giving notice.

But beyond that, Jefson hasn't shared any stories, he hasn't made a post in the last three weeks, and he hasn't shared any stories.

DUKE tried to contact him and he didn't reply to the message, which doesn't even appear as "seen."

Jefson had competed in Stage 1 in Huntington Beach. He placed third in Round 1 and then narrowly lost to South African Oliver Packham in the elimination round.

Earlier this year, Silva had reached the final of the Uruguay Longboard Festival and placed second in the Maresias tournament. Results that earned him the title and qualification.
