What makes the Central American Games unique
What several of the region's top athletes had to say
Special coverage presented by ASOSURF
According to several of the region's top athletes, the special touch of the Central American Games is the unity, the camaraderie, and the Games' very motto: "United through sport."
The good waves in Central America were also mentioned, such as those in Hawaii, where the first day of the tournament was held.
The region's history did not escape the responses, nor did the fact that medals are becoming more affordable and, of course, there is rivalry to obtain them.
Members of the national teams of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Panama, Nicaragua, and the host country of Guatemala responded.
