What you need to know about Sunday's Rumble at the Ranch
The keys to the first post-Covid-19 pandemic event held by the WSL

WSL surfing returns for the first time since March with the Rumble at the Ranch special event taking place at Slater's Pool this Sunday starting at 12 noon California time.
Below are the key points you need to know about the event:
When?
Sunday, August 9th at 12:00 California time which translates to:
13:00 in Central America
14:00 in Mexico, Colombia and Peru
15:00 in Chile
16:00 in Argentina and Uruguay
21:00 in Spain
Where?
At Kelly Slater's Surf Ranch in Lemoore, California. The event will not be open to the public but will be broadcast live on the WSL here: https://www.worldsurfleague.com/
How?
There are eight mixed teams already crossed, the best left and best right of four waves surfed by each team will count. The best combined score advances to the next round.
The series are as follows:

Who is it?
The top players in the WSL rankings and some guests who are in the United States and can travel within the country without restrictions due to Covid-19. They are three Brazilians, three Hawaiians, one Japanese and nine Americans.
Why?
Because of the Covid 19 pandemic, the WSL cancelled the entire 2020 season and regional events were allowed to take place. This is the first in a series of championships that will include European and Australian championships.
