Who is already out, who is in, and who is fighting?
In addition to Kelly, seven failed to make the cut; 19 are in and there are three spots left for six surfers to fight for.

In addition to Kelly Slater, Ian Gentil (HAW), Eli Hanneman (HAW), Frederico Morais (POR), Kade Matson (USA), Callum Robson (AUS), Deivid Silva (BRA) and Jacob Willcox (AUS) all lost in Margaret River and failed to make the mid-year cut.
On the other hand, the results of today and previous events guaranteed 19 surfers in the second half of the year and the start of the 2025 tour, leaving now three spots for which six surfers are fighting: Connor O'Leary (already out of the event), Yago Dora (already out of the event), Seth Moniz (still alive in the event), Samuel Pupo (still alive in the event), Caio Ibelli (still alive in the event) and Miguel Pupo (still alive in the event.
Those already guaranteed in the second half and at the beginning of CT 2025 are:
Some of the matches that were decided in the round of 16 are very intense: The Pupo brothers, for example, are fighting in a series to stay in the championship. The other two series that define staying in or going out are those between Seth Moniz and Ethan Ewing and Caio Ibelli versus Jordy Smith.
