With a fifth place in Newcastle, Nadia is guaranteed a spot on the CT.

Annette needs a second; this, to depend on themselves; among the men, Vaast flirts with the elite, practically securing himself with a 25

Nadia Erostarbe will secure her place in the CT 2026 if she finishes fifth in the Newcastle CS, which will take place between March 9 and 15, the WSL announced on its social media.

The surfer from the Basque Country needs this to secure her place back on the CT without depending on any other results. She is currently fifth in the rankings, and the top seven qualify.

Meanwhile, sitting right on the line, in seventh place, Annette González Etxebarri needs one second to achieve the CT.

There may be other results that help her and don't change the ranking, but what she needs is that without depending on it.

Among the men, one of the new developments is that Kauli Vaast is very close to securing his place, as he needs a 17 or is "practically" guaranteed with a 25. This is after advancing two rounds.

Four women have already secured their spots: Yolanda Hopkins, Kika Veselko, Sally Fitzgibbons, and Tya Zebrowski. Three spots remain.

Among the men, only one: Eli Hanneman. Therefore, nine places remain available.
