With a thousand dollars at stake, the Surf Web Series Chile begins on Monday
There are only a few spots left to be part of the Chilean stage of the online world surfing tour
The special coverage of the Surf Web Series is sponsored by Surf Open League - On the cover photo: Manuel Selman is confirmed for the event, will he use Chilean or Dominican waves for his participation?
The third stage of the online surfing world tour, Surf Web Series, begins this Monday, August 24, with the Chilean stop that will feature the best from that country fighting for $1.000 in prizes, as well as prizes from Spy and the Alaia hotel in Punta de Lobos.
Registration is still open to receive the first video that grants registration for the event and there are very few places left.
Some of the surfers who are confirmed to participate in the championship are the brothers Noel and León de la Torre, the brothers Nico and Vicente Días, Tomás Bock, Cristobal Montecinos, Guga Dvorquez, Nico Ramos, Guille Satt, Manuel Selman, Cristian Merello and Camilo Hernández among others.
This is the third stage of a global tour that will end with a world final. Jafet Ramos won the first stage in Mexico, Dale Staples and Sophie Bell won the second stage in South Africa, and in 10 days we will know who will win the Chilean stage.
The vote is made by a panel of judges not yet announced and by the vote of the people who must comment on each post of each series tagging the surfer.
The images that can participate can be up to one year old and the surfer does not necessarily have to be in Chile to compete; in other words, he can compete while abroad.
One of the confirmed participants is former Pan American champion Manuel Selman who is currently at home in the Dominican Republic and we will see if he uses the waves of the warm island or the perfect tubes of the country he represents on the world tour.
Those wishing to participate must send their round 1 video to the event director, Carlos Ferrer: cferrer@wetfly.cl
