Australian Declan Wyton and Californian Rachael Tilly managed to escape a second bullet only in the perfect waves of El Sunzal where the WSL finals, the Surf City El Salvador World Longboard Championships, are being held.
With a good strategy and suffering a little less, Wyton beat Kevin Skvarna and Max Weston with a total of 13,36.
The Australian will now go with defending champion Taylor Jensen.
For her part, Rachael Tilly continued the dominance that made her world champion last year.
Very connected with El Sunzal, she gave no chance to Chloe Calmón or Hiroka Yoshikawa and won with a total of 14,67.
Now, in a classic match of world longboarding, Tilly will go up against Honolua Blomfield.
