Yago Dora and Alex Ribeiro were guaranteed in the CT 2020

There are four surfers who are sure to be in next year's elite through the QS and all four are Brazilian

Brazilians Yago Dora and Alex Ribeiro secured their place in the 2020 CT thanks to their performance in the QS 10.000 that is taking place in Ericeira and ends tomorrow.

Dora is already in the semis, she is guaranteed at least 22.460 points that will ensure her permanence in the tour and if she makes it to the final she will be given the lead.

For his part, Ribeiro, who already has 18.930 and discards 1.050, guaranteed himself 3700 points after having lost in the round of 16 surfers, this means that he has 21.580 points, which exceed the cut-off point for this year, which is estimated to be higher than the 18.000 that qualified in previous years.

Ribeiro had a bad time at the CT in 2016, his best result was the fifth he obtained at Trestles.

With this, there are already four Brazilians who are guaranteed in the 2020 CT, Jadson Andre, Miguel Pupo and the two mentioned.

Andre, ranked 30, and Dora, ranked 22, could qualify via the CT and forego their QS spots.

The Portuguese event produced four semi-finalists, in addition to Dora, Samuel Pupo, Jacob Willcox and Stuart Kennedy. These three are not guaranteed qualification for the CT even if they win, but this result takes them to Hawaii with a chance of qualifying.

Also reaching the quarter-finals and earning important points to qualify (also without guarantee) were Matthew McGillivray, Connor O'Leary, Ethan Ewing and Adin Masencamp.

The other player who came close to returning to the CT is the Portuguese Frederico Morais, who surpassed 17.000 points by reaching the round of XNUMX.
