Yago Dora's world champion trophy didn't have to be paid at $30.000, as Gabriel Medina had been offered in 2021, but he had refused, keeping a small replica.

According to Yago's girlfriend, Isa Sermann, in an Instagram post published by Beachgrit: "The WSL even offered to ship it to Brazil. However, since we wanted the trophy to arrive with Yago, we opted to pay for the shipping ourselves. I think this change, which allowed us to avoid having to pay, was primarily due to the change in CEO, who has been doing an excellent job."
