The Spanish armada started their participation in the 2026 and 2027 challengers on the right foot, with three out of three from their country advancing to the round of 64: Sean Gunning, Yago Domínguez and Conor Donegan.
The first one won in a super series against Alonso Correa and Frederico Morais. Vitor Ferreira won with 15,30, Sean scored 14,1, Alonso 14,03 and Morais 12,5.
Then Yago Dominguez scored 11,76 to leave Brad Scott in second place with 11,47, Daniel Emslie in third and Gabriel Klaussner in fourth.
Finally, Conor Donegan won his heat with 12,5 and left Lugue Ginaldo in second place, while Rafael Barbosa and Luke Van Wyk were eliminated.
