Yellow alert: World champions could be crowned tomorrow
The waiting period for the finals begins with two days of good waves but with a Thursday with better conditions

The WSL has put this year's CT Finals on yellow alert with a possible start tomorrow, Thursday, September 8, the first day of the waiting period for the event.
According to Commissioner Jessi Miley-Dyer, waves are in the forecast for Thursday and Friday, but a storm is possible on Friday, so Thursday is the target date.
The call is at 7:30 California time, for a possible start at 8:00.
The event already has the matches set for the beginning of the day. On the men's side, Italo Ferreira will face Kanoa Igarashi and on the women's side, Steph Gilmore will face Brisa Hennessy.
Next up are Ethan Ewing, Jack Robinson and Filipe Toledo for men, and Tatiana Weston, Johanne Defay and Carissa Moore for women.
The event concludes after a maximum total of 12 series are played, three of the qualifying rounds and the grand final which is a best of three matches.
