Rosas, Zelasko, Anderson, Hennessy, Barona, Álvarez, Tuach, Blanco and Ribeiro qualified for Lima 2019

The nations that will qualify two surfers for the ranking by category are yet to be defined. The aforementioned are already certain to make it to the second largest multi-sport event in the world.

Surfers Daniella Rosas from Peru, Bethany Zelasko from Canada, Brisa Hennessy from Costa Rica, Dominic Barona from Ecuador, Rosany Álvarez from Venezuela, Chelsea Tuach from Barbados, Tia Blanco from Puerto Rico and Karol Ribeiro from Brazil were guaranteed to make it to Lima 2019 after a historic day today in Punta Rocas, on the second day of the Pan American Surfing Championship.

Five of the six who made it to the semi-finals have already guaranteed their place through the individual ranking that places them in the top six.

Since Daniella Rosas uses the spots from Peru, it opens up one more spot, which was not confirmed but is assumed to be Tía Blanco from Puerto Rico who was the best third in round 3.

On the other hand, since the United States will not be able to place among the top 2 by nation, not counting Peru, in the ranking by nation, it must go to the ranking of the first event in the hierarchy for the classification, which has Summer Macedo of the United States as the first classified and now (the next one was an American) the Canadian Bethany Zelasko.

The semi-finalists who will surely occupy the individual spots are the following and are sure to qualify for Lima 2019:
Jessica Anderson (CHI)
Hennessy Breeze (CRI)
Mimi Barona (ECU)
Rossany Alvarez (VEN)
Chelsea Tuach (BAR)
Aunt White (PUR)

For Peru, Daniella Rosas was the winner, and there is a very particular situation with Melanie Giunta, who finished the tournament in eighth place, currently outside the qualifying zone. If this were to continue, which is unlikely, the second Peruvian representative would be Sofia Mulanovich, who was the best for her country at the ISA World Surfing Games in Japan.

This is the least likely because the other qualifiers will be determined by the team ranking of the category, which is determined by adding up all the scores of the competitors from each country.

As these four places are determined, the following places will enter the qualifying zone.

Karol Ribeiro qualified for ALAS
Since Brazil did not manage to get any surfer into the qualification zone and it is impossible for her to reach the top 2 in this category, the Brazilian Karol Ribeiro is the first to qualify through the ALAS tour.

Then, in the ranking there is a very interesting and particular situation because all the following nations are classified or almost classified: Chile, Argentina, Mexico, Peru, Ecuador and the list could reach Salvadoran Vanessa Cortes, who is in 24th place after having participated in one stage.
It could very well happen that she is the second to qualify for Lima 2019.

This leaves surfers Ornella Pellizzari from Argentina, Melanie Giunta (whose situation has already been detailed), and Shelby Detmers from Mexico within reach of the individual classification.

It will be essential to determine the rankings by country and for this to happen, we must wait until the champions are crowned.
