Two days of action-packed surf at Snapper Rocks saw Adur Amatriain, Lucca Mesinas, Alan Cleland, Leticia Canales, Leilani McGonagle, Arena Rodriguez and Brisa Hennessy advance to Round 2 of the year's first Challenger.

On the other hand, Nadia Erostarbe, Ariane Ochoa, Daniella Rosas, Santiago Muñoz and Alonso Correa were eliminated from the event despite giving good performances.

Now the men who advanced are ranked in the round of 48 and the women in the round of 32.

And Puerto Rican Havanna Cabrero still has to compete since there were three series left to be held in the women's round 1.

For each of them, the confrontations turned out like this:
-Adur Amatriain goes against Jadson André, Imaikalani Devault and Hiroto Ohhara

-Lucca Mesinas against Callum Robson, Michael Rodríguez and Thiago Camarao

-Alan Cleland before Matthew McGillvray, Julian Wilson and Nolan Rapoza

-Leilani McGonagle goes against Gabriela Bryan, Kirra Pinkerton and Sarah Baum

-Leticia Canales will compete against Zoe McDougall, Sally Fitzgibbons and Luana Silva

-Arena Rodriguez and Brisa Hennessy are in the same series against Nikki Van Dijk and Macy Callaghan

The event is expected to resume today given the huge number of heats still to be contested and because the Gold Coast is presenting good wave conditions these days.
