Albee Layer harsh with the judges of the Jaws Challenge and disrespectful to Billy Kemper

The local raised the tone of the conversation about the judging and in addition to delivering a rude word, he proclaimed: “Kai Lenny won.”

“I don’t know who you’re sucking on the judging panel Billy Kemper I want his number Kai Lenny won,” Maui local Albee Layer wrote on his Instagram stories about two hours after the aforementioned surfer was crowned champion.

“Imagine watching Shawn White competing in the halfpipe at the Olympics and he falls on his last move in his two turns and the judges are like, ‘Oh, that was good enough. ’ We need to restructure the judging, WSL,” the surfer added, referring to the fact that Kemper didn’t finish both of his waves but still won.

The difference in scores was 23,84 to 23,56. The best wave of the series was Lenny, a giant tube, from which he exited a section and received an 8,33. Meanwhile, Kemper's best wave was an 8,07, in which he had a long run in a tube from which he could not exit.

On his other wave, a 7,7 he surfed seven minutes into the final, he also failed to complete the tube. Kai Lenny received a 6,9 and completed his wave.

After all his talk and showing some stories from his waves (Layer finished third in the grand final), the aerialist and big rider wrote: “Sorry guys for sounding annoying, these are just my opinions.”

The WSL has not yet announced a sanction against the Hawaiian.
