Slater loves Hawaii and only leaves Hawaii to go to his home in Cocoa Beach or his other home in Australia.

Slater spent his entire life going to the Gold Coast and developed an excellent relationship with it.

So much so that, with his hip recovering and healing (as he says), he showed off in Kirra's perfect waves.

The video shows it well.
