Because El Salvador is not only about surfing…
So Close to the Ocean: Golf at El Encanto with World Champion Rachael Tilly
Special coverage presented by Surf City - El Salvador Travel
The right-hand pointbreaks accumulate, one next to the other on the Salvadoran coast, also the few left-hand ones and also some secret and very tubular beach breaks.
You can go from one end of the country to the other in one day, surfing at Las Flores in the morning and Punta Roca in the afternoon.
This feature of proximity and many attractions is true for everything: There can be many tourist trips in a single day, from going to a volcano or to the historic center or to an adventure park, just to mention a few things...
Yesterday afternoon, after former world champion Rachael Tilly, who is the favourite to win the world title this year, had her long training session, lunch and rest, well after three in the afternoon, we took her to play golf at the El Encanto course.
Just 30 minutes from El Sunzal, we were able to share a pleasant time with Tilly, play golf (or try to play) on an impeccable course that gave us all the comforts and talk about the huge challenge that lies ahead.
Rachael won the world title for the first time in 2015, when she was 17 years old and now at 26 she looks very good to go for her long-awaited second.
With the possibility of the tournament being launched today, she chose to have fun and relax by playing golf. She said that the feeling after a golf session is relaxation, and she also said that she is ready to go to the water at El Sunzal again.
El Salvador once again successfully demonstrated its unique ability to create unforgettable experiences in a very short period of time and space.
And also, that the attention and preparation to receive tourists is impeccable, better than the highest level of a developed country.
Friendliness everywhere you go, good facilities and lush nature.
And after a while we were back on the beach, ready to surf and keep working while waiting for the final to start, recording the experiences of the best longboarders in the world.
