Brisa escaped the playoffs

Costa Rican Brisa Hennessy managed to escape the elimination round of the Margaret River Pro, today in Western Australia where the second day of the event was contested in fun waves of three to four feet.
Hennessy was better than Luana Silva and placed second behind India Robinson; the series was defined as follows: India Robinson (AUS) 13.67 BEAT Brisa Hennessy (CRC) 13.27, Luana Silva (BRA) 11.83.
With this result, Silva was left out and on the verge of elimination from the CT as she is tenth in the ranking.
Hennessy will face American Lakey Peterson, who is ranked eighth.
At the women's level, only the elimination round was held, which had the following results:
HEAT 1: Sally Fitzgibbons (AUS) 16.27 BEAT Johanne Defay (FRA) 13.73, Bronte Macaulay (AUS) 6.33
SERIES 2: India Robinson (AUS) 13.67 BEAT Brisa Hennessy (CRC) 13.27, Luana Silva (BRA) 11.83
