In November 2021, Italo took advantage of his vacation to visit his teammate Cherif Fall in Dakar, Senegal and to meet South African Joshe Faulkner.

They surfed fun waves at different spots in the area and exchanged stories and culture.

The three of them compare themselves and identify with each other because they come from places where opportunities are few. Italo motivates his teammates and all the locals there.

And even he is surprised when he ends up being recognized in various unusual places.
