Bruce Irons was arrested in California
For driving under the influence of drugs, possession of controlled substances without a prescription and for driving without a valid license. The penalty can range from 48 hours to six months in prison.
Hawaiian surfer Bruce Irons was arrested by Newport Beach Police last Thursday for driving under the influence of drugs, carrying a substance without a prescription and not having a valid driver's license, reported the California media Beach Grit based on reports published by in the police department website.
For this reason, the Hawaiian had to pay a bail of 2500 dollars and was released on parole. He will have to go to court and could face a sentence of 48 hours to six months in prison, although it is expected that, as is primary, this will be suspended.
According to what he has said in various interviews, Irons has his family in California and that is the main reason he has for spending time there.
Precisely when he was arrested, on Thursday morning, that night was Thanksgiving, one of the most important annual American holidays.
