Chianca, Lenny, Scooby and Dupont won today in Nazaré
Basque Axi Muniain finished the tournament in sixth place
Brazilians Lucas Chianca and Pedro Scooby, Hawaiian Kai Lenny and Frenchwoman Justine Dupont were the big winners of a new edition of the Nazaré Challenge.
Chianca and Dupont took home the prize for best male and female performance, the Brazilian team with Kai Lenny won again as best team and Scooby won the recognition for being the most committed after getting into one of the best tubes ever seen in Nazaré.
In fact, Scooby came very close to overtaking Chianca, his wave was worth 9,5 which he backed up with a 3,9, needing only 4,34 until the end to overtake his compatriot.
In third place was Kai Lenny and in fourth Keali Mamala.
For his part, the Basque Axi Muniain did not have a good first heat but recovered in his second entry into the water, scoring a 5 and a 4,5 to finish the event in sixth position out of 18 competitors.
