“The inclusion of two leading surfing figures in the latest IOC Commissions highlights the positive and growing role of surfing in the Olympic Movement,” the ISA said in a statement.
ISA Solidarity Fund benefits 11 federations with 35.000 dollars
The beneficiaries were Afghanistan, Angola, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Fiji, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Africa and Venezuela.
The ISA received money from the IOC which it appreciates in difficult times of Covid-19
“The support will allow us to continue serving athletes and the sport while we surf together the most difficult wave of our lives,” said Fernando Aguerre.
