Daniella Rosas achieved a historic third South American professional championship

Peru's Daniella Rosas became three-time South American professional champion today in Florianopolis after her compatriot Sol Aguirre lost the decisive semi-final series to Brazil's Silvana Lima.
If Sol won that series, she would take the title, but if she didn't, the title would go to Rosas and this is what ended up happening.
With this, Rosas added her third regional title and equaled the historical record held by Analí Gómez.
The fourth member of the South American contingent for the 2023 Challenger Series was also defined: Rosas, Aguirre, Barona and the veteran Silvana Lima, who needed to win the championship and did so. If she did not win, Bela Nalu would qualify.
The first leg of the Challenger Series takes place on Australia's Gold Coast from 6 to 13 May.
