Training and fun days in Jeffreys Bay
While waiting for the South African QSs to begin, Sofia Mulanovich, Lele Usuna and Yago Dora enjoyed a perfect couple of days in JBay

There can be few better places in the world to relax between events than Jeffreys Bay. The world's best right-hander was awakened ahead of the start of the Port Elizabeth QS 1500 and 3000 (ladies) and the first QS 10000 of the year, the Ballito Pro.
Several pros saw a nice swell approaching JBay before the start and found themselves in the lineup.
Sofia's champion lines, Lele Usuna's speed, style and precision and Yago Dora's aggressiveness can be found in the following clips.
1- Sofia returns to JBay after 18 years
“After 18 years I am returning to this wonderful wave for a few days. Thanks JBay, pure magic!” wrote Sofia, who surfed the first and second day of the swell on June 19 and 20. Doesn’t she deserve a wildcard for the first CT tournament that will take place there?
2- Lele Usuna: Pure class
If the QS tournaments were held on waves like this, the Argentine would have a better chance of making it to the CT than in today's small-wave beach break tournaments. Good line, rail maneuvers and the occasional barrel.
3- Radical: Yago Dora
After spending a few days on a boat with some of Brazil's best surfers, the Brazilian travelled straight to South Africa to compete in the Ballito Pro and train for the JBay Open. It's clear that he arrived sharp. He attacks with desire and the cold doesn't freeze him, rather it activates him.
4- Sofia in tune: Today Wednesday June 20
With the waves a little smaller and the wind at her side, Sofia posed a question to her 32.000 Instagram followers: "Going into the water: Yes or no." 94% answered yes and the Peruvian went surfing. The video makes it clear that the decision of the people (and of the former world champion) was the right one and Sofia then acknowledged it: "Thank you for encouraging me to go surfing!"
5- Honoring the flag on its day
"Flag Day is celebrated every year in Argentina on June 20. That date is a national holiday and a day dedicated to the Argentine flag and the commemoration of its creator, Manuel Belgrano, who died on that day in 1820," Usuna took the holiday seriously and in South Africa it left her in a good position.
