Brazilian Adriano de Souza confirmed on his Instagram stories that he will not be at the 8th event of the world tour in the wave pool due to the injury he suffered in his knee that, for some reason, worsened in the Tahiti tournament.

In any case, De Souza confirmed that his recovery is going well and that he will be on the French stage. He hopes to be 10% recovered in 100 days.

On the other hand, Mateus Herdy, WSL Junior World Champion, also announced on his Instagram that he will be at the event. He, along with Crosby Colapinto, Jett Schilling and Kade Matson will be the male wildcards. They are joined by the Hawaiian junior, Gabriela Bryan.

Herdy had been injured while training for the Rio de Janeiro CT and only returned to the water during training for the Lemoore tournament.

The tournament format is for everyone to surf six waves, three lefts and three rights, with the highest score for each side and the top eight men and four women going to the final.
