Don't do it: Stolen wave, angry local, hair pulling and...
Ouch. This is what happened yesterday in Newport Beach
A publication shared by Unkle Tito (@ocinstanews) the
Newport Beach local Chad "Unkle Tito" Towersey was at the peak and had priority for that wave (it is worth saying that it is not known if he had been taking 500 waves and the long-haired visitor none), he accelerated, the man saw him and decided not to leave the wave and so it all ended in a comical and at the same time sad scene of violence.
According to what the local told on networks, and collected The Californian site BeachGrit, when they exchanged words, the long-haired man pointed out that it was his wave that he had been waiting for a long time.
To this, Tito declared: “This is my Pipeline. I’m not going to let some little girl tell me that it’s her wave at my spot. I grew up with localism in my generation. I don’t care how big he is. Surfing is about being wild and barreling. Surfing to me is about regulating little girls at your spot.”
