Ewing has already trained at Lowers
The doubts about his participation in the finals have been considerably reduced; he is showing a very good level
More than one video of Ethan Ewing surfing the waves at Lower Trestles, the site of the WSL finals from September 8-16, was made public on social media this weekend.
The Australian is in the water training for a top-level competition, showing some very good surfing, after fracturing his L3 and L4 vertebrae at Teahupoo on August 8.
On social media, he said he would do everything to get back into the water as soon as possible.
Specialists noted that such an injury takes three months to heal without surgery.
Ewing finished third in the rankings and will go into the water against the winner of the clash between Joao Chianca and Jack Robinson.
To become world champion he will have to beat Griffin Colapinto and Filipe Toledo.
