Fiji in perspective by Brisa Hennessy
The best quarantine in the world had its challenges
Brisa Hennessy's quarantine in Fiji was a dream but also a sacrifice, this is what she shows in her new film.
The Costa Rican also rides some big waves at Cloudbreak, where she clearly went through a process to get a couple of good waves.
“The best moment of our entire time on the island was when we took the locals surfing. Many locals don’t know how to swim, let alone ride a surfboard. It was quite an experience to see the evolution of surfing,” Brisa said, according to the Costa Rican surf federation.
“I forgot what it felt like, that feeling when you stand up for the first time on a board: I was able to witness and be a part of that whole process. Standing, looking at a wave for the first time. It was very refreshing and inspiring and made me reconnect with why I do what I do. The locals ended up wanting to go surfing every day, they were hooked,” added the Costa Rican.
