The Hang Five is a classic maneuver par excellence, it can be functional, as a transition maneuver at certain moments of the wave, but it is usually a major maneuver. It is one of the oldest in surfing, it helps the longboard to accelerate with all the weight on the front of the board.

-The first A tip for doing a good Hang Five is to take your time walking to the tip and wait for the longboard to be stable and in the good section of the wave, in order to stay on top.

-The second It is about getting the longboard to pick up enough speed so that when you are at the tip of the board, it doesn't sink.
