I-Bolic: The new technology of Kelly boards
“These boards last forever,” says the best in history
I-Bolic is Kelly Slater's new board technology, the one that makes his boards “last forever,” as he himself said in the video where he presents them.
“Instead of using the standard wood core, the I-Bolic uses a double-T profile and high-density foam on the edges. Plus we have a deck that basically stops you from making big pressure dents. These boards last forever. I never dent the decks on these I-Bolics,” says Slater.
In the video Kelly comments that he likes his boards better when they come out of the factory than when he tests the models made by his shapers.
The board in question is the FRK+ and it says that the name comes from Rocker For Kelly, Rocker for Kelly and that for some reason the marketing people ended up changing it.
