Up in the air with Thiago Passeri

Three good flights from the young Argentine yesterday in Mar del Plata

A big flaw that trainers often point out in groms is that they try to fly before doing bottom turns. It's like saying, run before you walk...

Without good foundations in surfing you can't achieve anything.

Thiago Passeri, a kid who has his head on straight and whose father is one of the wisest surfers on the planet, followed the wise rule: Surf with good fundamentals, attack with the bottom, carve burying edges and flow from rail to rail.

Having gone through this, he is deciding to invest his time in the air and it is not going badly for him.

Yesterday was an example:

Act 1: Nice try at alley oop.

Act 2: Nice almost complete attempt at a high, extended aerial

Act 3: Straight aerial completed successfully.

Thiago is 13 years old; it is difficult not to think that in a few months these tests will be complete, higher and more radical.
