2019 World Champion and reigning Olympic gold medallist Italo Ferreira is seeded as the top seed at the MEO Vissla Pro Ericeira, the second stage of the 2021 Challengers.

Ferreira has no obligation to compete in the tournament, nor does he have any need, but he seems to miss the competitions.

The local from Baía Formosa in Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil is passionate about competition and unlike what the rest of the qualified CT members did, he decided not to lose the competitive rhythm.

Ferreira appears registered in Portugal but not in the stage that follows in France.
