Joao Chianca surfed solid Teahupoo
After the serious injury he suffered in December in Hawaii, the Brazilian showed himself ready for the Olympic Games
Brazilian Joao Chianca has shown his readiness for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, which will be held in Teahupoo, after sharing some Instagram stories of himself riding down a solid swell on the dangerous wave.
Chianca, who was seriously injured on December 3rd in Pipe, suffering concussions, was out of the water for several months and was gradually recovering.
First surfing small waves, then competing in the challengers and now riding solid waves on one of the heaviest days at Teahupoo this year.
There were doubts at one point about whether or not it would arrive in time for Paris 2024, but those doubts seem to have been dispelled.
