John John Florence, who appeared to be climbing in a magical series against Miguel Pupo and Kelly Slater, has withdrawn from the Tahiti Pro due to a knee injury and will be replaced by former CT and local from Polynesia, Michel Bourez, the WSL reported.

The WSL has not yet updated the series but it is presumed that everything will change, Florence is ranked 8th.

On his Instagram stories, John John has shared a trip he is taking by boat through remote places on planet Earth.

Bourez, for her part, shared the photo from the WSL and commented: "Surprise, surprise."

The incident will keep John John Florence out of the WSL finals.
