Two-time world champion John John Florence will be sponsoring stage 1 of the CT 2024, the Pipe Pro that will take place at Banzai Pipeline between January 29 and February 10, with his brand, Florence Marine X, the surfer himself reported on his social networks.

“I am very proud to share that Florence Marine X will be sponsoring the WSL Pipe event. Pipe has been my backyard and my favorite wave for as long as I have been surfing. I grew up watching and dreaming of being at these contests, and then one day I was at them, surfing with the same surfers I looked up to as a kid,” the surfer wrote.

“Being able to support this event is a dream come true. Excited to have this opportunity together with Yeti and Vissla,” he concluded.

The Pipe stage will be the first of the 2024 CT, which will have nine stages this time, different from the 10 of previous years, in addition to the finals.

John John formed Florence Marine X a couple of years ago after leaving Hurley's team with whom he had a multi-million dollar contract for years.

Its director is Bob Hurley, former founder of Hurley and former president of Billabong North America.
