Uruguayan Julián Schweizer was crowned champion of the ALAS tour for the second consecutive year today on the waves of El Sunzal. After making it to the semifinals of the Surf City El Salvador ALAS Pro, the Uruguayan became unreachable for his only two rivals with a chance: Gordo Melendres and Amado de Jesús.

Julian had had an impeccable tour with several victories and arrived in El Salvador with a considerable gap between him and the two mentioned above who were obliged to win the event and prevent Schweizer from advancing to the semis.

He advanced to the semis after finishing second behind Carlos Bahía and ahead of Tamil Martino and Juan Pablo Melendres.

This is the second year in a row that Schweizer has won the Tour. Last year in Las Flores he had confirmed his first continental victory.
