The Brazilian entered the house two days ago and raised some controversy for leaving aside the cold winter weather in the northern hemisphere to be part of the reality show.

One of the biggest names in Brazilian surfing today, Lucas Chumbo  Chianca has just begun her participation in the new edition of Big Brother Brasil, the well-known reality show on TV Globo that is celebrating its 19th season.

His commitment to the program will take him away from the ocean for a few weeks at least, locked away with 17 other participants.

The surfer's participation in the middle of the wave season in the northern hemisphere caused some controversy on social networks and on specialized websites in the country. He himself made it clear in his last message before locking himself away: "I will never stop being the Chumbo big rider, you can be sure of that, and I will take all the lessons of surfing with me."

The Brazilian website Waves believes that the bad is obvious: moving away from the ocean, and the good is that his presence there will help continue to teach the Brazilian population that surfers are not vagabonds and marijuana smokers, something that, they point out, is still a stigma that surfers carry in the country that has won the most world titles in recent years.

After two days in the house, the surfer made himself known for his ability in a physical test, he talked about surfing, revealed that he is afraid of being locked up and taught techniques to relax.
