The final stage of the qualifiers for the South American challengers, the Praia Mole QS, has already filled its entries in the men's category and even has nine substitutes awaiting confirmation.
The situation is calmer on the women's side, with a guaranteed round of 32 that still needs five entrants, in addition to the two wildcards from the event and two from the WSL.
Among the entrants are surfers from Argentina, Chile, Venezuela, Peru and Uruguay.
