Noe Mar McGonagle won the Surf City El Salvador ALAS Latin Pro

Reidy, Zelasko, Schweizer, Gómez and Adisaka won in the other divisions

Costa Rican Noe Mar McGonagle won the last stage of the Latin surfing circuit, the Surf City El Salvador ALAS Latin Pro, on a day of perfect waves of one to two meters in La Bocana de El Tunco.

He won a highly contested final in which he faced local star Bryan Pérez after several exchanges of waves and score changes.

Until the middle of the half-hour series, Pérez was winning, but Noe Mar managed to break free after finding a right and a left for which he received 7,5 and 7,5, which put him in first place. Shortly after that, he found an 8,8 that ended up giving him greater solidity and left the local needing a 9 that he never obtained.

When the Costa Rican came out of the water, he was in pure joy; the Costa Rican fans welcomed him and carried him along the beach.

With the victory he earned $6.600 and 6.600 points, which put him in the top 10 of the rankings after competing in just one stage.

Meanwhile, in the women's category, Canadian Bethany Zelasko dominated, beating Mimi Barona, Rosany Alvarez and Lucía Cosoletto in the grand final.

In the junior category, Costa Rican Samuel Reidy beat his compatriots Malakai Martínez, Aaron Ramírez and the Uruguayan Juan Fischer.

Jarita Gómez won in open SUP and Aline Adisaka in women's SUP.

Julián Schweizer won in longboarding, but with second place in the stage Martín Pérez became Latin American champion.
