“One of the most brutal things I have seen in Nazaré”
The Andalusian surfer, Alberto Truncer, left his mark (and a bit of skin) on the world's most famous big wave. "He took it to another level," said another filmer.
Alberto Truncer, a surfer from Malaga, made history at the world's most famous big wave, Nazaré, yesterday by suffering one of the most spectacular wipeouts ever.
The renowned filmmaker and photographer Helio Antonio described it this way: “One of the most brutal things I’ve ever seen in Nazaré happened today. Alberto Truncer was completely wiped out… And then he was rescued from the infamous rocks by the legend himself, Dino Carmo. Congratulations to @nazarejet for the incredible teamwork.”
Meanwhile, another filmmaker, André Almeida, said the following: “I’ve seen some very tough moments in Nazaré, but today Alberto Truncer took it to another level. One of the most brutal crashes I’ve ever captured. This place is no place to play around; it’s beauty and brutality in one. Incredible rescue by @nazarejet!”
Alberto rides the wave in control, but the lip of Nazaré makes him disappear. There are still no statements from the surfer.
