Piccolo Clemente vice-champion of the Relik in Lowers

With this result, the Peruvian entered the top 10 of this new world tour. María Fernanda Reyes finished the event in fifth place.

On the perfect waves of Lower Trestles, California, Peruvian Piccolo Clemente achieved the vice-championship of the second and final stage of the new world longboard tour, Surf Relik, and with this he got into the top 10 of the final ranking.

After beating Brazilian Phil Rajzman in the quarterfinals and Hawaiian Nelson Ahina with scores of more than 17 points (out of 20 possible), Clemente entered a final with few waves against American Tony Silvagni.

His scores from the previous series would have given him the victory in the decision, since the local obtained 16 points. Until the end, the man from Huanchaco had chances, needing 9,02, but a wave came and the 6,83 obtained was not enough.

Another Peruvian who stood out in the tournament was Lima native Maria Fernanda Reyes, who managed to reach the quarterfinals and only lost to Brazilian finalist Chloe Calmon. In the previous phases, the regular footer had even scored waves of more than 9 points.

With these results, both in the women's and modern categories, an extra series of playoff had to be held in which Lindsey Steinride beat Alice Lemoigne to be crowned champion of the circuit and Taylor Jensen did the same with Tony Silvagni with a wave in the last minute.

Meanwhile, in the classic category, Chad Marshall and Harrison Roach added exactly the same score, they were called to surf the heat but apparently decided to go for the tie... We will have to see how this is decided.
