Rescue in the middle of the opening of the table

Gui dos Reis was testing his new Swellboards when a kayaker got into trouble; everything was recorded by the drone of the brand's manager, Carlos Pena

The two-time Pan American champion and five-time Brazilian champion Gui dos Reis had just received his new Swellboards from Carlos Pena, the person responsible for the brand that decided to sponsor the prominent Brazilian racer.

With the drone and cameras pointed at Gui, ready to generate material, an unexpected situation occurred on the beach where the SUPist is local last Saturday in Caraguatatuba, São Paulo.

It wasn't a day of big waves, but a kayaker found himself in trouble, Carlos Pena told DUKE. Aware of what was happening, longboarder Raquel Daoud came to his aid first, moving him further out and allowing him to hold on to her board.

Dos Reis noticed what was happening and went to help him. According to what he told Pena, the kayaker was pale, visibly scared and the Brazilian rower told him to get on the new boat to get him out of the water.

As you can see in the video, the procedure went perfectly.

The grateful rescued man greeted the rescuer and there were no casualties to mourn.

Raquel, who is a personal trainer, now wants to use this procedure as an example of a surfing rescue to keep in mind, sharing it in courses so that there is greater safety in the ocean when it comes to taking care of oneself and others.
