Sharp Eye leads the Vissla ranking of shapers

Mayhem, Pyzel, Channel Islands and DHD, in that order, round out the top 5.

Shaper Marcio Zouvi and his Sharp Eye are the first leaders of the Vissla Shapers Ranking launched by the WSL this year.

Jack Robinson's victory, Filipe Toledo's quarter-finals and Tatiana Weston's quarter-finals were the key to the start on the right foot for the shaper who was born in Brazil but has been based in California for a couple of decades.

Carissa Moore's victory and Gabriela Bryan's quarterfinal finish left Mayhem in second place.

Tyler Wright's second and John John's fifth helped Pyzel take a tight third ahead of Channel Islands, which was just behind with semi-final finishes by Lakey Peterson and Joao Chianca.

This ranking of builders takes into account the results from the quarter-finals onwards and includes all the athletes who have managed to place in that instance or better, that is, there are no maximums. If eight surfers manage to make it to the quarter-finals with a board, all will count for that manufacturer.

If a surfer uses different boards during the competition, the one used in the finals will count.
