Panamanian Tao Rodríguez did not need to make it to the final to guarantee himself the 2021 ALAS continental tour champion after Brazilian Ryan Kainalo lost in the semis.

In that scenario, it was impossible for any of the other opponents still alive to take the title from him.

Rodríguez had finished second in stage 1 in Acapulco, second again in stage 2 in Punta Rocas and had won in stage 3 in Punta Roquitas.
