Something quite strange happened to Leo Fioravanti last Thursday when for two hours he had one of the most famous and desired waves in the world all to himself: Teahupoo.

Not only was she alone for him, but she was breaking solid and perfect, why was there no one there? Surely there is some explanation.

The story goes that during that time Leo surfed eight good waves, a couple of them on the epic level, the kind that pay you for your life. As he himself said: "Definitely one of the craziest experiences of my life (...) Surely one of the five best sessions of my life and something I will probably never experience again," he said.

"Definitely one of the craziest experiences of my life, being out there with bombs lined up and having to tell yourself to turn around and just go," she added on Instagram with an exploding head emoji.

The video makes it clear that it was epic.
