The first to arrive at Saquarema: Kanoa Igarashi
Mini waves were surfed in Itaúna; the forecast is not the best, according to Surfe TV
Kanoa Igarashi was the first member of the CT to arrive at Saquarema and he slid into some mini waves to get rid of the trip from above, said the Japanese.
In addition, the head of Surfe TV, Carlos Matías, and the coach of some CTs, Pedro Robalinho, predict that the event will not have good waves, or at least that is what is expected. A swell is coming in but it is disorganized.
They believe that there will be two days of decent waves anyway and that today will be the first day when we will be able to see a few better waves at the Itaúna wave.
Another fact is that the Barrinha wave does not seem to be an option for holding the event, there is no stage there.
