Red Bull, Lost, and Futures make up the majority of the sponsors among WSL finalists
The breakdown of the sponsors of those who made the decision: In energy drinks, fin systems, and boards, these three brands win by a landslide; apparel brands are more evenly distributed.

Red Bull and Lost are the big winners when it comes to brand presence among the 10 WSL finalists who will be competing for the world title in Fiji between August 27 and September 4.
The Red Bull brand is the clearest leader, with seven of the top 10 sponsors: Jordy, Griffin, Robinson, Italo, Molly, Caitlin, and Caroline. A distant second is Monster with Yago and Bettylou.
The sum is nine because Hawaiian Gabriela Bryan does not have an energy drink sponsorship.
Things are a little more even in the surfboard category, although the same leadership exists in the shapers rankings as it has all year: …Lost, the boards made by Matt Biolos are used by five of the 10 finalists: Yago, Griffin, Gabriela, Caroline, and Bettylou.
This is followed by a tie with one board or “half” for shapers as Jordy Smith is using Pyzels and his father's, Smith Shapes and Jack Robinson uses either Sharpeye or Arakawa in tubular seas.
The remaining three go: Caity Simmers with Borst, Italo Ferreira with Timmy Patterson Brasil and Molly Picklum with DHD.
Finally, the most even distribution is among sponsoring brands. If we strictly measure the nose of the board, there's a three-way tie between Red Bull, Volcom, and Quik/Roxy, with two surfers per brand: Italo and Simmers with the first, Yago and Jack with the second, and Griffin and Caroline with the third.
Then there would be Jordy Smith with O'Neill, Molly with Rip Curl, Gabriela Bryan with Hurley and Bettylou Sakkura Johnson with RVCA.
O'Neill arguably also ties for that first place because he is a sponsor of Simmers although he does not sit on the nose of his board.
