The Rip Curl Pro Search has changed its date

It will take place this Monday and not on Saturday as previously reported. The waves in southern Chile promise to be perfect

The Rip Curl Pro Search in Chile has changed its start date to Monday, April 29, the tournament organizers announced in a press release sent yesterday. Earlier in the week, the tournament was announced to take place on Saturday, April 27, but an unexpected rain forecast led organizers to change the date by 48 hours.

“This change is something unexpected, but we knew it could happen. Nature told us no for the 27th, but at the same time, it opened a window for us 48 hours later. We know that things get complicated, but it was the risk we took when deciding to carry out the operation.  “The biggest Chilean surfing event and the only one in the world, where we look for waves that are hard to find and where the stars must align for everyone,” said the event organizer, Juan Pablo Barrientos.

He added: “We are stronger and happier in a certain way, because nature has shown us once again that it is nature that rules, not humans, and it is good that this is always the case and that we, as a species, never control Mother Earth. On Monday we will enjoy the wonders of Chiloé even more.”
