The echo of childhood feelings is the one that most strongly populates the space of our present. A tape recorder serves to take a walk through the past. Sound of surfing is a reunion with the expectations that Andy had of himself when he was little. The pursuit of a fantastic marine entity represents a link with a past in which the energies of hastily finding a place in the world and the disagreements with one's own dreams rest. Dreams that end up becoming reality but that, in some way, kill fantasy. Dreams that, precisely because they become reality, cease to be dreams.

Sound of Surfing is a film about the need to recap, to stop and take a step back. It is an experimental short documentary about surfer Andy Criere. It is a stop along the way in the middle of the frenzy of the training season. Filmed in Hendaye, his hometown and in Hondarriba, a town he feels part of with his entire family, and different areas of the Basque Country. It is an introspective piece in which Andy seeks to take a journey through the past and the present.
